Accessibility

First written: 5 July 2026 · Last updated: 10 October 2026

This website should work for everyone, including people who use assistive technology.

The short version

  • We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA.
  • Every page works with a keyboard alone, and animations respect your reduced-motion setting.
  • We test with automated tools and by hand, and publish the results here.
  • Tell us about any problem at hello@jointhinkspark.com.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. WCAG is the international standard for accessible websites, published by the W3C.

What you can expect

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
  • Animations stop if your device asks for reduced motion, and the page still makes sense without them.
  • Illustrations have text descriptions for screen readers.
  • Text has strong colour contrast, and pages work when zoomed in and on a phone.
  • Videos will have captions and a transcript.

How we tested

On 8 October 2026, while the site was still a design, every page was checked with axe-core 4.14, an automated checker that tests against WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 at levels A and AA. Pages were tested at a phone width (390 px) and a desktop width (1440 px), with animations both on and reduced. No issues were found. We also checked by hand that every link and button can be reached with the keyboard in a sensible order, that the focus outline is always visible and never hidden behind the top bar, and that the Pause animations button stops all movement. Automated tools catch only some problems, so the live site will be tested again before launch, including with screen readers, and the results will be published here.

Known limitations

The Rehumanize introduction video has music and no narration. Its on-screen text is not yet available in another form. We are adding a text version before launch. The site has not yet been tested with screen readers (such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver) or by people who use assistive technology. We will do this before launch.

Feedback and other formats

If anything on this site is hard to use, email hello@jointhinkspark.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line. Tell us the page and the problem. We will reply within 5 working days and, where we can, provide the content in another format.

Technical details

The site is built with standard HTML and CSS and is designed to stay readable with JavaScript turned off. It is designed for current versions of major browsers.
